>Hi. I am working with Fox7 Runtime on an NT4 network with Win98 w/s. My problem is that my Accountant accesses my dbf's with Excel (to audit). It seems that when Excel is using a file, the fox executable ignores that file and does not update it. What can I do?

Might be that the file is marked as being "in use". You could give the accountant a copy of the file. For instance, you could make a daily backup (as is, no compression), and keep it on a shared folder.

Hilmar.
