Gee, I wish there was a way to change the title of this message.

I started this thread to support Russ in his efforts and ended up creating a never-endiing thread with a title that suggests exactly the opposite of what I was hoping to convey! I think I've just become another victim of the "law of unintended consequences"!!!

Oh well, such is life.

Hi Tom,

Last night's user group meeting was great!

Carl Street talked about automating Excel and Word. Not just from the techie end of things but also why most departments would actually prefer that you did it that way. Fletcher Johnson chimed in with alternate ways of accomplishing the same thing in Word (that is the use of Word fields).

After the meeting we had our obligatory "the tech industry sucks" bitch session.

You should have been there!
