Hi Tom

My early "experimenting" with dtc's has been a little frustrating. At this writing I'm not a real fan but I'm staying patient.

>My forms are complex and have over one hundred objects on each of the major >ones.

My first ones will not be nearly this complex. Later on, perhaps.

>West Wind Connection is a fine product and I highly recommend it if you >have the time and money to invest in the product and training.

Time, yes. After msdn universal subscription, money = ! :)

>I am guessing you have to learn ASP.
>I am also tempted to suggest you try .NET if you can.

You know.... this is also on my mind. I'm thinking, since there is no pressure to have this project done tomorrow, to just use this as a great way to learn .net. And I just may do this. A part of me also wants to go ahead and learn asp in case I need it for legacy type work that might come my way. Probably a good tool to have don't you think? !

>Also e-mail me a screen shot of a basic form for your project and I will >take a look and send you some code to try.

Again, thanks for this generous offer. Some of the very best people hang out here! It is probably a few weeks before we get to this point but when I do I will take you up on this. In the mean time I'll keep you up on the progress.

>My project at work took 13 months to complete and has about 80,000 lines of >code and over 170 forms.

I think that by the time this FULL project is over we might be close to this and just might take more like 18 months. It sure is nice to know that you will be helping me with the journey. Thanks again.
