I'm using print2pdf in a couple of apps. I experienced the 'hang' syndrome which required a Taskmanager intervention to resolve the hang. The problem turned out to be related to the File Name my program was creating and passing to print2pdf....I was using a space in the filename. Replacing the space with "_" solved my problem. Hope yours is that easy!
