Good morning Gunnar;

We all establish our business and technical needs based upon factors that are of importance to us. I have been involved in many types of projects over the last 21 years using a number of software tools.

When it comes to MRP and free tables it will work and is something I have done twice for two different companies. The use of a DBC on the third and fourth MRP projects made life so much easier when it came to many factors. I have not had problems with DBC stability and that is my good fortune.

Before creating an application that is data centric I always look at the requirements before making decisions about how to start. There is always a trade off to any approach and you do what you think is best. In the end what matters is success and no one can argue with that! This goes back to the argument, “there is more than one way to do a job”!

>yes, i am currently writing a large MRP system and yes i am working without dbc. Although it makes life easer with the points discused by the other, but when i had the dbc crash in my testing and only after some time got everything back to the way it was, i decided to look into other possibilities.
