and just a reminder to those reading this thread: go to the WineHQ bug site (bugs.winehq.com), and when you create a login (free, no hassles) you get 20 votes. Then Browse to Bug 1071, and cast those 20 votes for that bug. The votes are one source used by the Wine developers to choose what to work on.

>FWIW, I've added my input to the Wine bug report related to the file locking problems. As this problem affects more than just Visual Foxpro (Access and Borland Database Engine at least) I believe that this will not be an issue for too much longer.
