On the top of the message, select "Tools". From the emerging menu, click on "Enable acronyms". Sometimes you may get strange results, but usually it helps to see the expanded acronyms.
Another useful option is "Enable autolinks". Especially useful if somebody points you to a certain message number or thread number.
