Hi,

I would like to have a form or control like a combo box display data that
comes from, say, an ADO recordset (although it doesn't specifically have
to be the recordset).

My hope is to have data from a proprietary file format - for which I've
written an OLE DB Simple Provider (OSP) provider - reflected in the form or
control.

Would someone be able to provide an example or pointers to documentation/reference
information on doing something like this? Is there a better alternative
to what I'm trying to do? Perhaps my confusion is a result of my being new to
Microsoft's stuff. I was under the impression that Microsoft was heavily pushing ADO/OLE DB, and heavily disparaging ODBC. If their own tools don't work with ADO, well, it's just confusing.

Thank you for any assistance,

Richard
