John,
Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater... leave intellisense on.. but in true FoxPro style you can customize this feature. You can hack the truly annoying garbage out of the tip memo field. This way you can leave the little used things to give you reminders that speed your development. Open the Intellisense Manager, and click the Browse button. , go down to the C IF row and empty the Tip memo, close the browser and start an IF command in the command window.. no more annoying tip to tell you
IF lExpression [THEN]
Commands
[ELSE
Commands]
ENDIF
You'll get used to only having to type a couple of characters to get to most property and methods, it really does save a lot of time.
>I don't like that irritating "office clip" in Office apps, and I don't want help completing my sentences in VFP either! I've determined how to turn Intellisense off, but "its baaaack" next time I get into VFP. Logic tells me that the solution lies in the config.fpw file, but my weak attempt at resetting the _foxcode and _codesense system variables seems to have failed.
