Question: on a small network (10 users) , assuming a config file that puts tmpfiles and resource files local, is there any reason (besides initial load of app) why you can't have users run the EXE from the server? (I know this also works, just another best practices question)
TIA
>On a LAN, install EXE on clients and data in a shared directory. Place another directory on network to hold latest EXE version.

>Look through UT files for sample of launcher app. Launcher app is another small EXE that queries network on startup comparing current client EXE version with network version. If network version is newer, it is copied to client replacing existing app. The launcher then starts main app then releases itself.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.
-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
