It sounds like the OLE DB provider is installed okay. The problem you are running into is related to the ASPNET account not having priviledges to the VFP files. Add the ASPNET account to have full rights to the files and try running the ASP.NET app again.
>I am using Visual FoxPro 5.0a and this does not come with vfpoledb.dll.

>I have tried to use the OLE DB driver for foxpro by downloading VFP 8.0 beta and then registering the vfpoledb.dll. When I do this and then try to access the foxpro database, I run into a different error. It says :
>
>Index #0 Message: Invalid path or file name. Native: 0 Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Visual FoxPro SQL:
>
>I copied the DLL to the c:\windows\system32 and tried this. Then from within ASP.Net I add a reference to this particular DLL by browsing to it and cannot see it. Once again, this OLE DB provider works in a windows application much like the DSN but NOT in ASP.Net. Something is amiss.

>As you can tell, I've spent hours and hours pouring over this situation.
