Check out the command: SET COMPATIBLE
According the the help file "Controls compatibility with Microsoft FoxBASE+ and other Xbase languages."
Usage: SET COMPATIBLE FOXPLUS | OFF | DB4 | ON [PROMPT | NOPROMPT]
FOXPLUS | OFF
(Default) These two keywords can be used interchangeably. Each allows programs created in FoxBASE+ to run in Microsoft Visual FoxPro without changes.
