Hmmmm .... I took a clean machine running Windows 98 SE (no development environment), copied a VFP6 EXE and Runtime to it that had a single statement: MODIFY COMMAND junk.txt ... and got "keyword coloring" ...

I then created a VFP 7 EXE and copied it (and the Runtime) to a W2K Server that also had no corresponding "development environment" ... "keyword coloring".

Pretty sure I saw the same thing at a client site ... with no development environment ...
