Title:
VFP 3.0 / SQL Server 6.0 / Remote views / Win 3.1
I've been trying to create sql remote views with VFP on a Win 3.1
machine but
I keep getting "Microsoft SQL Server ODBC Invalid transaction state"
errors
That happens after I create the view and try to use it.
Here's what I do :
create sql view remote vexample1 connection myconnect as select * from
table1
use vexample1
browse
close databases
The same thing happens when I use the View Designer. When I use SQL
Passthrough
functions I get no error messages.
I get the error right after exiting the browse window and trying to
close the databases or the view itself.
I tried the same program on a Win 95 machine and it worked just fine
*but*
I can't upgrade my machine to Win 95 yet. I tried an ODBC inspector
program
and it shows that the error is issued when the ODBC driver tries a
SQLDISCONNECT at the close statement. What transaction could still be
pending to be executed ?
My machine is a DX4/100 16 Mb running Win 3.1 on a Netware 4.1 network.
32-bit x 16-bit drivers problems ?? How can I be sure I'm
using the correct drivers ? I assumes VFP installed them
correctly..
Any suggestions ?? Thanks a lot.
