I also use SDT when sending out application patches so that my clients get upgraded to the current version of our database. I don't know of a package one could use to specifically address repairing a CDX file. This problem is any extremely rare event with our client base. When it does happen, I just have them use our reindex routine from our menu and that takes care of things.
