Mark, check out
"Table Structures of Table Files"
and
"Table File Structure (.dbc, .dbf, .frx, .lbx, .mnx, .pjx, .scx, .vcx)"
in the VFP help documentation. If you open the file in VFP I think (maybe) VFP will modify the header of the file to indicate its a VFP file and now FP26 doesnt recognize the header anymore. See "Table Header Record Structure" for more on this in the Help.
