Yup. Known issue. You can also duplicate this in earlier VFP versions by putting incremental behavior in a field-level rule.


>When using a table that is using auto increment, if you go in to a browse window and then click on View, Append mode, the system will not increment properly. If you move to append a record and then move off the record and then back to the record, you will find the auto incremented field will have a value you do not expect. It does not retain the value that you first get when you move into the field.
