Push?? Who's "pushing" you?
You are free to use VFP 2.6. It still works fine for many apps. In fact, I still maintain one where it doesn't make economic sense to change it.

Are you "pushed" to use Try..Catch or CursorAdapter, etc in VFP8? No! Would it be nice to use them? Yes!

BTW, I also disagree with the other versions not being "new versions". It is not every 6 months but mopre like 18. And every new version and more interesting stuff for us to play with and improve our toolset (and skillset).
