Hi Jose,

Both MySQL and Postgres work well with Foxpro. I used MySQL for
a long time, but switched over to postgres about three years ago.
Below is a link with alot of info about postgres. The below link
can become a little confusing, because there and many link within the web page the below link calls.

Also, I have written an example VFP front-end client that connect to my postgres back-end server. It require VFP7 mostly, except the example of using the cursoradaptor requires VFP8 BETA. The application can be downloaded from my web site at the following link:

If you visit my web site and click on [mail menu], you can fill
out a form to join my mail list. You can search the mail list
to find your primary number. Once you enter your primary number
into the lookup form, another form will appear that allows you
to edit or delete your account from my mail list. A postgres
back-end is being used with html forms and perl scripts to run
my mini mail list web application.

The phpBB forum in my site also uses Postgres as its back-end
database. I guess phpBB was written to be SQL 92 and SQL 99
compliant, because during installation of phpBB, a drop down list is
used to allow the user to select which database is to be used
with the phpBB HTML/PHP front-end. The choices were:

MySQL
Postgres
MS SQL
Access

The phpBB site indicates that many more databases will be added in
the furture. When presented with the menu, of course I selected postgres.
