If you're writing to files then you need Write or full access in addition to Read access to those files. If this goes through default security IUSR_ is the accounnt you have to give rights.

>I migrated to IIS via an upgrade to XP prof. I have a vfp - web app that ran properly on win2k IIS 4. The problem is simple but I don't know how to recitfy it. My asp instantiates a com object that writes a file to a folder hanging off of the virtual. My browser reports a "file access denied" error when the com object attempts to create a file in the sub folder. However, if I modify the com object to create a file in a folder that is not involved with IIS, ie c:\temp, the program runs without an access denial error. How do I modify IIS5 to fix this problem?
