Hello Michel:

Thank you for your input. I set the sparse property of Column1 to both T and F, yet the second record on the grid does not show up in the editbox, rather in the original cell itself (as in a text box).

It also appears that I have not yet successfuly deleted the textbox control, since the little ab still shows up in Column1. Interestingly, the currecnt control for column1 indicates it as being my edit. I'm confused now:)
