When I deleted the textbox control from teh grid and replaced it with an editbox control, a little "ab|" was displayed instead of teh ab in a box (which I presume iwas for the text box.

I did set the Sparse property to F for Column1 and noticed that the CurrentControl for Column1 was my editbox. Fired the form up, and the text in Column1 was displayed as though in a textbox, and no sign of the editbox or its characteristic vertical scroll bars.

This is the order in which the control are placed.
