To see which option applies: a) VFP doesn't get the correct time, or b) VFP stopped reacting, c) VFP stopped refreshing the StatusBar, I suggest displaying the time both on the StatusBar and somewhere else, for instance, in a WAIT WINDOW NOWAIT. Together with the time, display some other changing information, like a counter variable.
