Can't believe I missed that one. I have never really needed it or cared if a table got Reindexed, Updated or Repaired. I can not think of a single reason why not to allow this. I know he cited different customers may have a different structure, but the respective meta data and the DBC had better be in synch with these differing structures which then makes that arguement, IMO, moot.
