What problem(s) do you encounter when you try to access the value of the control? I've found that some ActiveX controls require that you stick an extra reference of "object" in the object hierarchy in order to see their properties.

I haven't verified this but try something like form.oleControl1.object.value where oleControl1 is the DateTimePicker control.
