Should be no problem...
If your original (ex:) Word document is setup for mail merge to a data table you extract into, then just change the font of the specific merge field intended to that of a bar-code. -- obviously, you need to have posession of a bar-code font on said machine.

The rest of the "mail-merge" process won't care what FONT is used, as long as it can get the data to be printed.
