Well I would guess that "minor index corruption" shouldn't be related to TAG definitions, wouldn't you think?... else how would the thing work most of the time?
So the worst it should be is some bad record in the CDX. In which case, a REINDEX should work just fine.
Now if reindexing in some fashion was already tried without success, then I'd say there could be some (obscure?) problem with Rushmore.
