>I set my theme on XP to windows classic as soon as I could. *g* Personally the themes are just cpu-cycle and real-estate wasting eye-candy IMHO. My daughter uses this notebook too and she uses themes I can swap logins to do testing with themes on. I just see the IE status bar uses a different look. It must be using a statusbar that is theme aware.

Well themes are nice on the eyes, and if you properly size them then they don't waste any screen real estate. I've been kind of skeptical too, but going back now feels like going back to using FoxPro 2 (non-3d) forms in Windows...

>>The toolbar causes initial sizing problems on VFP forms. The result of which is that you often see a form pop up and the toolbar is blank until you resize. I have several apps where I had to use timers to wait for a second then slightly resize the form just to get the damn statusbar to show correctly.

Not sure about that. I was thinking about that just the other day as I posted this. Building the functionality would be easy but making it look like a standard toolbar wouldn't be so trivial unless you use graphics for everything... The panels are not easy to mimic as you think at least in appearance.
