Has anyone encountered this effect w/ VFP7?

Using VFP5, the time to run my COPYEXE program was maybe 1 second, while in the VFP7 environment it takes 18 or more seconds. The EXE files are 828 KB each.

The CODE is similar to:

START>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
cd d:\a\prog\programs
copy file myprocess.exe to c:\aa\runexes\myprocess.exe
... 8 more similar COPY FILE commands...
END>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Any clue as to why VFP7 takes so long?
