Well, that makes no sense. While your app is running, open up and browse "Appreg01.dbf" and see if that is found in a row. If it is, immediately close your app and see if it is flagged as deleted. I am not sure this will help you trace it down, but it would give you another hint.

Don't really know as I haven't given it much thought, but I would think autoincrement being built into the VFP language could only be a good thing for future apps.

Sorry I couldn't be of much help to solve the problem, but you probably getting closer. I'm getting ready to be in Lexington next month - I guess if you would buy me a "yearly meal ticket at Speedy's" or better yet one at "Mr. Barbeque in Winston-Salem I could stop by... lol
