these are files (or folders) which holds all the information about the student. We have the data in SQL server.
What we are thinking of some kind of barcoding these files, so that, when the counselor takes them, they will "check them out"

I say barcoding because I can easily create form, have them type the student ID, click on a box as "out" and select the name of the counselor that is taking the file.
But, I'm thinking, are they really gonna do all this?



>If these are word processing docs, they can be stored in a database. VFP has general field and SQL Server has Image field for binary data. Then track them with a datetimestamp or some other flag.
