I already had the code to databind the datagrid, though. After much digging and scratching I discovered a KB article at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;325093& that solved my problem. Not sure why I had the problem in the first place since I made sure that I installed IIS prior to installing any .Net stuff. Oh well ...
