Diptesh,

I know nothing of Citrix. So it is quite possible that there may be "issues" as regards its setup and operation.

But I can say that, in the general case, your problems do not sound like VFP "bugs", but rather application design problems. In which case the benefit of SQL Server (or any other sql engine) may prove fruitless too!

Earlier today I mentioned message #583143 to someone else in Mumbai (I know its a huge place, but the timing may be more than conicidental and it **may** be related. In any case, that does describe a BUG in VFP and a workaround too. But it may not be applicable in your case - only you can decide.

The only other issue that comes to mind is unrelaible power where the user PCs especially, but also the data-storing PC too, are located. NO SYSTEM will protect data from flakey power, and inexpensive (relatively) UPS units can make a good fix for this.

good luck

>1. We are using Cirix server and 34 client all over country. People start getting message like record in use by another user (error 130 etc.)
>Duplicate key gets generated. and Saved even though primary key existed. Begin tran End Tran also applied. Used to do tablerevert and rollback incase such a situation arrived (uniqeness of index...)
>Browsing tables with such duplicate records (with Browse command) shows 1st record correctly for next record it blanks the PKfield and shows rest of the other fields data. most of the time it shows duplicate data.

>2. Some times data not getting saved. (Thesee are User's remarks) We are having just 300 thousand rows in tables.
>We recreated tables using Create Table and recreated indexes after removing duplicate records. then it started saving.
>With Begin Tran and EndTran (with buffered 5 tables and Views) it should save all data or None data!

>3. Record locking issues. We are not using explicit lock command. but we are traping it in our error routine. Some times it takes 15-20 minutes of time to save a data. Most of the times user terminates the application for this reason (remember we are on Citrix server. all the users are working on same data at a time from distance location in the country)
