Probably not. However, as long as the user is still there and responding to the message to get out, then do not shutdown until the user responds that it is OK to close the app or does not respond at all within a certain amount of time. You can also disable and re-enable the timer anytime you want. If your user is about to execute any query, disable the timer. When the query is done, enable the timer again.
