The case is correct, it just acts differently than SQL Server. I've run into several things on this project that have stopped me dead until I worked around them. I developed the app against SQL Server 2k for a client that runs Sybase 11 and 12. When I go back to the client site Monday, I'm going to add a line the sp to return a one record, one column cursor. That *should* work, I hope. Thanks for the reply.
