I am migrating a number of tables from native VFP tables to SQL Server as part of an upgrade project. I have a simple program that opens the VFP table and a remote view to the SQL Server table, then loops through the VFP table doing a SCATTER MEMVAR and INSERT FROM MEMVAR into the SQL Server table and a TABLEUPDATE().

This works perfectly well most of the time, but some records generate error from the SQL Server about a type mismatch converting a char field to a datetype. The error seems to be almost random and not related to the data being converted. Has anyone had a similar problem or got suggestions?
