Hi Jason,
I was responding to the idea that people were being "pushed" to use the newer versions and I visualized someone thinking they were "pushed" from VFP6 or VFP7 to VFP8. As far as being "pushed" to discontinue DOS, well, to me it's like leaving the "dark ages."
