Title:
SP3 not installing on Win XP
I installed service pack 3 on our Win 2000 Server machines and everything is fine. But we have some SQL Server Personal Edition installations out there that are running Win XP SP1. On one, the service pack installs fine but @@version still says its running service pack 1. On the other I get an error message saying, "The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibilty with windows xp.
On MS site it says that:
Users can verify installation of this patch by verifying the following files are at version 8.00.568:
ssmslpcn.dll
dbmslpcn.dll
One all the servers that I installed SP 3, the versions are at 8.00.760
Any ideas?
Eric
