Me again.
>Welcome Back!
Thanks.
>They are basically a Printer Driver (you pick a printer driver of PDF, Word, HTML, etc. just like you would any other printer)
Do they automate e-mail sending as well ? frx2any does.
> However, I find them so fast in generating the PDF or RTF-Word, that frx2any will have to be really fast to win me.
I've heard that word automation speed has more to do with word than Fox.
>I was just playing with the demo-sample I just downloaded of frx2any. Am I understaning correctly that Office 2000 (or higher) is required to generate a Word, RTF, or Excel document? I am thinking it is... as it seems slow.
Don't know about this, Mel. But ask Marat Chariev [marat.neova@sympatico.ca], you can also find him here at UT.
>Also, the sample code they give on their web site doesn't show how to generate a PDF from it. Is there a reason for this you think? or can you generate a PDF from one line of code like you can to Word?
I think the reason is that PDF is the latest upgrade feature, and it's likely they haven't upgraded the demo. I'd say they all work the same way.
>Thanks for your thoughts. I am having to decide all this by tomorrow and I have all the code in place for the AmyUni.com products.
Hummm ... what a situation. For the price of AmyUni you told me, I'd really have a look at frx2any. I think it would be worth talking to the guys at Neova. I'm most satisfied with it, but talking to them you can have your own impressions.
See ya.
