Wayne, if you use an external image rather use gif or jpeg format which is more compact - (VFP7).

Alternative - draw a full circle in VFP by drawing a box with curvature property set to maximum value. Then draw another shape with the same colour as form background over that part of the first circle shape that you want to hide. Talk about a kludge! :)
