Don't convert them to VFP. Do any changes in FoxPro/DOS.
In general, VFP reports, and commands like "?" or "@...SAY", send information to the printer as graphics. This makes it very slow.
You can also create a text-file, and send it directly to the printer with "???".

9991 may give you some ideas - or perhaps you can use it as is. But this one requires you to re-design all your reports.
