I used reports from FoxPro/DOS in FoxPro/Windows, and they worked in text-mode (fast). I thought this still applied in VFP, but now I am not sure.
Personally, I create all my reports with my own class - but for you, this would be a major redesign.
Some people suggested using a "Text-Only" printer driver, but I didn't try this myself. I think you have to install it in the "Printers" section of Windows.
