Hi Caroline, I've tried that. The consequence is that GETFILE() also gets out of sight. Anyway, the use of the Common Dialog Control was very adequate. An addtional advantage is that it enables me to apply a filter on (parts of) the prefix of files. This came in very handy in my case.
