I still have applications running in FPD 2.0. We never upgrade them because from 2.0 to higher versions there was a slight difference in how report page lenghts where handled, so the ones we changed at those old days required to check every single report to be sure page breaks where ok.
One of my customers had a quite complex FoxBase+ app running until a couple years ago. I never updated that because it worked perfectly and they never called for anything. Then finally they needed a few changes, and we rewrote it in VFP 7. They told us: "The new version is amazing. I just wanted it to be sooo fast as the older one...". 8-)
Another one had a small FPD 2.0 app running without a hitch for years. Then they needed the app to print label on a special printer. They sent the printer manuals and we looked if we could figure how to send the proper data from DOS. It was quite difficult, so the quote was preety high. We spent a day or two trying to do it. Finally, I rewrote the whole thing in VFP 7 in hald a day, and used the Windows driver in a standard report. 8-)
But, looking back, Fox *ever* rocked. The product was amazing in every single version since FoxBase.
