>Have you contacted the ACDSee tech people and asked them if their product can be automated? That is, can you use the 'CreateObject' command to instantiate it? If so, that is the way I would go. DDE is so hard to code.

I have not done that yet. From its help, it said DDE is the only way to go. So I think I have to contact them then.
