Hi!
As far as I know, such effects mostly appear because video drivers.
Try following workaround:
Put under your check box shape with the same color you expect from checkbox. Then, if checkbox is transparent, shape will be visible and users would not notice any change.
>I have a form and I set the backcolor to red. Then I dropped on a checkbox on the form. Set specialeffect=1 (Plain) and set style=1 (Graphical) and the checkbox will become red. At runtime depressed it turns grey. Does anyone know why the behavior of the graphical checkbox works this way? Does anyone know how I can get it to not be transparent?

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs
It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
