Hi Martin,

I'm sure the translate load would be way too much, even for a great VFP guy.

Well I'm glad to hear that you have tests showing FLUSH only marginally slower. Mine, doing less than 2,000 writes in a half-hour, were way beyond sensible by any measure.

Thanks Martin

>>>Interesting. I don't know where I got the idea, but I **thought** that other language forums were translated to here and visa-versa.
>
>Of course no, Jim. I surely can't keep up with the translation. ;-)
>And of course, the technology to do it automatically is not mature enough yet. The Altavista or Google translation services (some of the better publicly avialable that I know) are hilarious most of the time. A funny game to bad-spend your time is to take your favorite poem/quote/song and enter in Altavista to translate it to -say- German, then take the German text and translate it back to English. Do it the same with different languages and you'll end with many funny variations!

>>>Do You know if there was any conclusion on slow FLUSH? I mean this is a slow as my toilet flush < s >.

>>Not yet. Martín Salías was going to verify the results of the original poster.

>Well, I don't know how slow yout toilet is <s>, but in my test VFP 8 is just a bit slower that VFP 6 and 7. In some cases *almost* double. Not very noticeable, anyway.
