First, I recommend going to www.hentzenwerke.com and purchase two books. One of them is on sale right now (Internet Applications with VFP, regularly $49.95, only $29.95). The other is WebRad. Once you purchase the books, you'll be able to download the electronic versions.

Second, don't be afraid to install and run the ActiveVFP demo and look through the sourcecode to see why it behaves as it does.

Third, go to www.west-wind.com and browse the many papers at Rick's site. You can also download his wconnect framework that includes very good "getting started" information.

You also need to have a good understanding of HTML and be able to use programs such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver.
