Hi,

Peer to peer 2kpro will only let you have 10 users max. sbs comes with a load of applications, outlook, exchange and sql server among others as far as i remember, if you do not need these then it may not be worth the money.
i am not too sure if 2k server and advanced have limits that you would reach for a peer to peer but if you are using a server why use a peer to peer? if they have 10 or so pc's then i would use 2k server, save some money. as far as using linux, it is a great operating system but unless you really know you stuff it can catch you out pretty quick and leave you high and dry.

Cheers

Hi,
I have enquiry from local vendor about Small Business server. However, they told me that, SBS should be called BackOffice SBS. Is it correct?

I also ask for the price of the BackOffice SBS and I found that it is more pexensive than Win2000 server. As mentioned in MS web site, SBS is designed for small business, then how come it is more expensive than Win2k server?

Also, I would like to know the maximum peer-to-peer connections of win2k pro, server and advance server edition. I failed to get such info from MS web site. Could you please provide it to me, if you have it?

Anyway, could you recommend which window server edition for me if my client has 10 or above users connect to VFP native database at the same time?

I am not familiar with win2k server either. Do you think it is difficult to configure? What you think of LINUX vs Win2k server?

Thank you

I am not the worst man in this world either.
I just as same as all of you.
I still need to learn from my mistakes...
