You'll need to decide for yourself, but, I like to think ActiveVFP combines the best techniques of web development with VFP. To start, simply use the WebAppBuilder to build your shell VFP web app. Then modify some VFP code or HTML templates to get it the way you want. You might just want to start by substituting your DBFs with the ones the demo uses. The key technologies you'll need to learn are: VFP(for web development), COM(VFP mtdlls), HTML, ASP(the intrinsic ASP objects you'll use within VFP like Request,Response,Session - not VB scripting), JavaScript(optional), .NET(optional), FrontPage(or any HTML editor). Actually, if there's anything missing from this list, you could probably add it since you'll have access to all of the source code.
BTW, these are very similar to the technologies you'll need to know for VFP Web Services, so, anything you learn from ActiveVFP can be applied there also...
